Pictures & Firsts

I realized I had not posted any pictures since New Year's! And since January is nearly over, there is much to post.
New Year's Day, neither David nor I were feeling fabulous, so we spent the day relaxing. We decided to watch a movie for a bit. Here is little miss all vegged out on the couch with her pillow & blanket. Such a sweet mess.

Later, we had some play time. Since we had picked up the cat in the carrier, and didn't feel much like putting it up, Madelyn decided to use it as a toy as well.

David thought it would be funny if she sat in it & let him carry her around. It was =)

As I posted before, we made a trip to the McWane Center recently. Now that she is getting older, she can enjoy it more. We're thinking about getting a membership sometime. Here is my little angel -

Getting ready for her first theater movie.

Playing around

Peek-a-boo!

GOLF! This was another first for her. We wanted to take her when we were in Gatlinburg, but honestly it was too cold.

I love her technique!

And of course, no trip is complete without fishies!

Last weekend we went bowling. This was yet another first for MJ. They were having some birthday parties, which apparently they do cosmic, so halfway through our time, this is what it looked like -

I didn't anticipate the difficulties I would have with bowling. Like seriously, Madelyn almost beat me (granted she did have bumper up...I think I needed them). For one, it had been over a year & a half since we went bowling. Which means I had not been bowling since I fractured my elbows. Yikes. After first roll I was near tears in pain. After a few frames, I figured out a way that I could throw the ball without wanting to curl up in a ball & cry. By the end of it, it was fun. Afterwards, we went out to eat at Texas Roadhouse.

I know this is a random picture, but here is my little cutie playing with her doll before church the other day. This was the first time she has worn a ponytail in her hair. I tried pigtails, because they would be entirely too cute, but I got one in & she ripped it out. This was a result of bribery - I let her watch Baby Signing Time while I did it.

Speaking of church, have I mentioned lately that I love ours? Because I do. The sermons over the past several weeks have been so relevant. I am very thankful that we have finally found where we are supposed to be.
