I almost forgot....

I got my Praxis results back last week! I got a 730/800, and I needed a 600. What a relief to have one more thing down!!

Did we just have a weekned?

Wow, what a blur this weekend was! It went by way to fast. Friday night, I went to dinner with some of the girls from my class. We went to Bahama Breeze. It was good, but I don't think it was as good as it used to be. Saturday, I went to work as usual, and then Saturday night we went to watch the band play at Shades Crest Baptist Church in Hoover. Sunday morning, we went to my mom & dad's church, because they had asked for David's help with running things. After that, we went to David's grandparents to celebrate his grandmother's birthday. Then Sunday evening, we went to dinner with my mom & dad. So needless to say, it was a hectic weekend. Today has been a very busy day for me! I got up early and went to Columbiana to get a reference letter from my supervisor from last semester. Then I went to Meadow View to finish up a little bit of paperwork. After that, I grabbed some breakfast and headed to Lakeshore for orientation & my first day there. The traffic is going to be terrible! My hours are 8-4:30. It's going to be a looooooooong 8 weeks!!

Good times with an old friend

Yesterday after church, we went out to lunch with my parents. When we got there, there were so many people there! My mom's best friends (my godparents) & their daughter Faith, who I grew up with, came along with some of my parent's friends from church. Afterwards, Faith came over & stayed until about 6 last night. We weren't expecting company, but it was a very nice surprise since we haven't gotten together in years. After that, we had to go get David's car from my parents. Over all, it was a good weekend. And I'm off of school today, so it will be a good day too!

Snow, Cars, & Recalls - Oh My!

Well, I was very excited to walk out & see snow covering my car Wednesday morning!! They said it flurried yesterday, but I didn't see it. And, they said it would flurry tomorrow, which is like a repeat for us of last year. See, tomorrow is college night. Last year on college night, it snowed. So I thought that was pretty cool. On another note - hope everyone has checked their peanut butter! I checked ours yesterday morning when they announced the recall, and ours did begin with 2111. Thankfully, it was a new jar. Only David had eaten out of it, & he didn't get sick. I checked my mom & dad's & they had one two. Several people who I talked to have had the jars. Scary!! I think what is scarier is that it had been going on since like September I think they said. Anyway, David's car is currently being looked at because the tires weren't acting right, so we are down to one car. That is not fun. I had to get up at 5 so I could take him to work, then wait until 7:30 to go to the school. Well, it's dinner time!
