Where did the weekend go?

Do you ever feel like sometimes the weekend just goes too fast?? That's me today. I'm sitting here in the clinic on Monday morning, and it really doesn't feel like it should be Monday yet. A lot and not much has happened since I posted last (sorry for the lack). I finally got over being sick about the middle of last week. My voice still isn't quite back to normal, I still can't sing much before it goes out. Anyway, this week we are house/animal sitting again for my parents. They went to Gatlinburg for the week. I'm jealous. The past 2 weeks have been rough (school-wise), this one is probably not going to be much better, and I need a vacation. I've been really tired lately & having problems sleeping again. Last night was better though, but yesterday I started feeling sick to my stomach & almost threw up this morning. Great way to start the day, let me tell ya. I'll try to post again later in the week...probably around Wednesday. That's when my week started to wind down. Please pray for me this week. I have a test on Wednesday, and the last 2 have not gone so well. If our GPAs drop below 3 for 2 semesters, we get kicked out. I had a 3.75 coming into this semester, but if it keeps going like this, I'm in trouble.

PV, Valentine's Day, and more...

So much to post, so little time. Well, Saturday night was homecoming for Montevallo. Since we don't have a football team, homecoming consists of activities during the week and student plays. This year, purple side won. (I am a purple, by the way.) The play was great. It was a take off on all the princess movies lately, and it was entitled "The complex princess with a princess complex OR Glass slippers give you blisters." It was even more special because my very dear friend Lyn Roberts wrote it. She could not believe that her play made us win (we were behind over 40 points). Anyway, we got back so late Saturday night, that we overslept on Sunday - we woke up at 11 a.m. Ouch. Monday started my typical busy busy week. Monday night, my throat started to get really scratchy. Yes, I am officially sick. Yuck. I managed to not be sick all last semester or so far this semester. Then it hit. I haven't been to the doctor yet. I don't know when I'll have time to go. I can't cancel my clinic today or tomorrow because my supervisor is out of town. Despite not feeling well, yesterday was very nice. I have the best husband ever. There are a lot of birthdays between yesterday and today...you know who you are, so Happy Birthday!! And today, life goes on. I better go, I'm going to be late for class!

Middle of the week

Well, it's the middle of the week. This week has gone by quickly and slowly all at the same time. I have had a lot due this week. And I have a test & an article presentation tomorrow. Yuck. On top of that, I started my assistantship stuff yesterday. Just what I need, something else to do. Last night, I tried to get ahead on some homework. I got 2 articles done, so that helps some. Clinic is going well. I had the reading group yesterday. It was really amazing to me for a child who hates to read because she can't understand it tell me that she liked reading yesterday. I couldn't believe what a difference reading on level made. Anyway, that's my little feel-good moment from yesterday.

Sad News

I always hate to start off the week with bad news. Saturday night, my mom & dad's dog Bubba died. He was 13 years old. We had gotten him from my Grandma & Grandpa. So this weekend wasn't great, obviously. This week is crazy so far, so I'll try to post again later.

Clinic

I am loving clinic this time!!!!! My clients on Monday didn't show up, so I had to wait to see them until today. It went so well! For my other group, we just did testing yesterday, so we didn't get much done. It still went pretty well. I'm *trying* to write up my SOAP notes now. I guess I better get back to that!
