Almost a New Year

It seems really hard to believe that 2005 is almost over. I hope everyone had a good Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas. Very busy, but a lot of fun. My grandmother came up from St. Mary's. We also got to see all of David's family either Christmas Ever or Day. My mom was sick for the 1st half of this week, and my dad's still off from his surgery, so I've been over at my parents a lot. David & I are going to try to see a movie sometime. We're going to see Chronicles of Narnia. We saw the old one (not the cartoon) when we were in school, so it will be interesting to see this one. On the way to take my mom to the doctor on Tuesday, I stopped at Barnes & Noble and bought Memoirs of a Geisha. So far the book is really good. It's based on a true story, which I didn't know. The movie looks good, but I want to finish the book first. That is what I plan on doing in my *spare* time...

Long week

It has been a really rough last couple of weeks. I'm so glad school is finally over though! Not much has been going on other than finals. One of the girls from my group is getting married this weekend, so we are going up to Gadsden Saturday evening. My dad had his back surgery on Wednesday. Everything went well. They said it would take about 4 weeks for him to recover, so please keep him in your prayers. Guess that's all for now...

YAY!

I don't know about you guys, but I am loving the colder weather. It is great! Anyway, I have now officially passed all of my competencies. This has seriously been the week of meetings. I'm so glad though - only one more day of classes! I only have one final I really have to worry about. We are having a final project for neurology. We have an entry point and an exit point for a steel rod going through a brain. Lovely huh. Anyway, I'm making little jello brains so that they can go through the motions like we are. I had to make it interesting - our final is from 4-6. YUCK! I don't like those. Anyway, I guess that's all for now. If I ever get online at home, I'll post pictures.

A break

Well, I finally get a break today...well, sort of. I don't have much to do. I need to finish editing my research paper. I was bad - I changed the font to add 2 1/2 pages. Well, I guess it's not really bad because she said we could use whatever font we wanted to. That one just happens to be bigger. Anyway, I had another competency yesterday. I think it went ok. Things are winding down! Only half a week of school left. I survived. Wasn't sure I was going to at times...We had a fun experience the other night. We decided to give the cat a bath. When he was little, he liked baths. Not so much now. He scratched David with his back claws (accidentally - he was trying to get out of the tub). But he smells really good, and he is soooo much softer (didn't think that was possible). Anyway, hope everyone is well. I have pictures to post soon.
