The long update

As promised, here are some new pics =)

Madelyn thought the other day that she had taken over our bed. I was trying to make the bed & she came with me - plopped down like she owned the place! I found this rather amusing considering she has never slept in our bed.

So here we are, more than half way through January of 2010. Hard to believe! Time is going too fast. We celebrated the new year with a few fireworks, which Madelyn was none too thrilled about. They scared her a bit.

I thought this was a sweet Madelyn & Daddy moment. We have been visiting several new churches, and they all start later than our old church did. This has thrown Madelyn's nap time for a loop on Sundays, and one morning she just couldn't take it anymore & cuddled up with David & went to sleep. This is how I found them when I got out of the shower.

Our snow day left much to be desired. Granted this was not the first time it snowed after Madelyn was born. The Sunday after she was born it snowed a good bit, which we had to be out in to get her bilirubin levels checked. Thought she might enjoy it a little more this time!

My silly silly child...putting diapers on her head...and trying to drink tylenol...which we had to break out after her first illness. Thankfully it wasn't anything serious, just a 24 hour respiratory virus that started Wednesday. We took her to the doctor anyway because for one she couldn't breathe, and for two we were going to NC Thursday night. All was ok thankfully. I did find it humerous that the doctor said her eardrums were perfect (she's never had ear infections).

Oh, and teething biscuits are the best!

So we left at midnight Thursday for Mooresboro, NC for my uncle Feddie's wedding. It was cool meeting family for the 1st time! Let me tell you, things there are certainly different from home!

Daddy & his girl

They had a winter wonderland themed wedding. It was very pretty!

My uncle Freddie & Mary.

Me & my pretty little girly.

Sunday, David was not feeling so well. Miss Madelyn Jewel did not take kindlly to this - she wanted her daddy's full attention! And she thought it was hilarious when she got it!

Right now we are driving home, and we're about 2 hours from home...my child keeps saying "ow" in the carseat...and I am off to enjoy my milkshake =)
