Is it Friday yet?

Ok, so it's only Tuesday, but I am SO ready for Friday!! The past couple of days have been extremely trying for me. Hopefully, things will be back to normal soon. I'm at church right now. We were supposed to have dance practice, but something came up & now I'm the only one here. Oh well. So, I figured I would post a little bit. Except there's not really anything to report. Saturday night we went to dinner with my parents. My dad had finally gotten in about 1:30 Sunday morning, & then he left Sunday afternoon. He actually left later than planned because he missed his flight. It was kind of a funny story. We danced Sunday, & it was a very fun one. We had several positive comments, and I think it kind of woke everyone up. Anyway, I fixed the pics below that weren't working, so enjoy some (kind of) new pics & maybe I'll have more to post later!

Picasa was being a pain, so let me know if the pictures don't work!

So much to post!

Wow, there is so much to post! With being out of town last week, I haven't had a chance to post. Let's see....where to start? I guess I will start with 2 Sundays ago. Eric Timm came & spoke at our early service, which is the one we attend. For those who have never heard of him, he is an AMAZING speaker & artist. He talked about Santa Claus & dinosaurs. Long story - hopefully they will put that on the church web site, or at least they are supposed to. Anyway, he talked about how Jesus has been painted to us, whether it be weak or strong. He talked about how you see the pictures of Jesus all beaten up & looking defeated. What Eric is famous for is using paintings in his sermons. He actually completes a painting during the service. His wife is word painter, i. e. kind of like a poet. She did a piece during the second part of his sermon. Just for a time span here, each painting took about 3 minutes. Here are some pictures of the progession, which were all done that night at a youth event we had called regeneration...

He flipped it over in the middle. We had NO idea what he was doing!

Eric's wife, Danille read a piece during the second part.

The last 2 pictures are a painting he did for the youth group. They recently changed Wednesday night service to what they call Fuel. Eric caught his painting on fire...on purpose. He got a little happy with the lighter fluid.

Last Thursday we left for the beach. It was nice to get away for a few days!

I'll spare you some of the others! We went to putt putt, & shopping, & on Saturday night, we went to see Josh & Angie. It was great to see them since we hadn't seen them since the beginning of June at Amelia & Jacob's wedding! Caleb has gotten so big!! We went to their house & had dinner & played a game called Mexican Train. It was a lot of fun! It was almost midnight when we left there. Then we got up Sunday to go & see Tim & Ashley, except we never quite made it. We got ready & started fixing breakfast when my side stomach started hurting - really badly. It kept getting worse, & finally David had to rush me to the ER. I started throwing up in the car, which made me dehydrated. At the hospital, they did blood work, x-rays, scans, & gave me stuff to stop throwing up & to stop the pain. I have a lovely bruise from the IV. They think I had a kidney stone (they couldn't find one). They said my kidney on that side was swollen & dialated & scarred, so they think it had been blocked. If I passed it, I never knew it though! After 6 hours in the hospital, we finally left & got some food & a couple of prescriptions they gave me. On the way back to the condo, I started feeling bad again, so I took another pain pill. When we got back, I laid down while David packed up. Then I started throwing up again. I think 9 times was the total. Fun fun. David decided I couldn't travel, so we stayed the night & left a 2 a.m. Monday morning because I really needed to be back in time for work. Needless to say, we were exhausted!! I think I have finally recovered. I still have pain every once in a while, but it's not too bad. Let's see...I guess the only other thing is what we did last night. We went to Phantom of the Opera!! It was wonderful! We dressed up & everything. The "Masquerade" scene was my favorite I think. I did NOT enjoy the pyrotecnics though - I felt like I was going blind! It was for David's birthday present, just a couple of weeks late. Now we have to figure out where we will go for my birthday! Speaking of birthdays, my dad's is the 5th. He will be out of town, so we are going to celebrate the day before. I think that's all I have for now...sorry it was so long!!

Wow

I am getting really bad at this. Things have been so crazy lately! I didn't realize it had been so long since I posted. Not much is happening in our world - just work really. I've had my 3rd round of sickness already, which lasted about a week & a half, but I think I'm finally over it now. David's birthday was Tuesday. We went out Monday since we had to be at church on Tuesday. We are going to see Phantom of the Opera in a couple of weeks for his birthday. I also got him the Jungle Book because he has been wanting that forever. Anyway, I am still loving my job & my schools. It is funny though to see the little differences between them. We are out of school next Friday for a bad weather make up day. So, we are going to the beach next weekend. We are going to leave Thursday & come back Sunday night. We are definitely looking foward to getting away for a bit! Things at work have been crazy for both of us.
