Snow Day!

Well, I wasn't sure it would actually happen, but we did finally get some snow! We had a couple of inches at our house. We went out for a little while in it & took Daisy since she really hasn't seen snow much. Anyway, not much else to report here. I haven't been feeling well the past couple of days. I think I've just had a little stomach bug. Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon!

Bad Business

I am not normally one to say that I will never go back to a store, but this experience tops any bad experience I have had anywhere. A few months ago, I took a pair of shoes to Cobblestone in Pelham to get the strap replaced on one of them. It was repaired, and everything was fine until Daisy chewed on the strap on the other shoe. Well, last Saturday, we took the shoe back to have that strap replaced. They said they would replace it. David went to pick it up Thursday & brought it home. It looked horrible! They did not replace the strap as they said they would, but instead, they just sewed it together. He took it back Friday to have the strap replaced as they had originally said they would, and the guy said there was nothing he could do. I was mad at this point, so we went back up there together because I wanted an explanation, which I felt I deserved. The guy left just as we got there, so we waited an hour & a half for him to get back. When he got back, he would not even speak to us, but sent someone else to say that there was nothing he could do instead. I was LIVID to say the least. So now I have a pair of shoes that I can't wear because they look awful. He would not even give an explanation as to why the strap could not be replaced when he just replaced the other strap a few months ago. I filed a complaint on their website, & he responded saying that it would be hard for him to explain why he handled the situation how he did & it wouldn't change anything anyway. So I highly recommend that if you have ever considered going there - DON'T. I have never received worse customer service in my entire life. Anyway...on to other news. I started back to work this week. Things have been kind of tame so far. I had thought I might have to be off of work for a health issue that has been going on for a couple of months, but thanks to the power of prayer, everything is fine now. Other than work, nothing new in our world!
