Is it over yet?
This week has been a nightmare so far. I had a take home test to finish, due today. I have been working on it for a week. I finally finished it this morning at 1 a.m. & went to bed around 2. At this point, I can't wait for school to be over. All I have is 2 classes today and 1 on Thursday. I have finals Monday & Thursday next week, and I have to go back to St. Francis to finish the UAB testing. Anyway, after our final next Thursday, our department chair is taking us out to lunch. I have to say, it's really nice to have professors & supervisors that you can talk to & hang out with & not have to be afraid of, although we were a little scared of Dr. J having a bad day yesterday...well, I guess that's all of my little ramble for now.

Storms!
I do not like this weather! Wednesday night we got home about 8:15, and I was intending to do homework. About 8:45, it started storming horribly!! We had quarter & golf ball sized hail. Supposedly not, but I swear it sounded like a mini tornado went over the house. All of a sudden it was quiet then it sounded like a train. It was really scary. The animals were frantic. Anyway, hope everyone has and continues to make it through the storms ok. We have Emmy tonight & tomorrow. We went to St. Francis to do the UAB/ERF testing, but they had storm damage & probably will be closed until Wednesday. =( So Erin & I went to Watermark place & got in some shopping instead! That was fun.

So, it's been a while...
Well, a lot has happened in the past week or so. My birthday was the 11th. I had a really nice birthday. The Cirque du Soleil was the main part of my birthday, but David couldn't resist getting me some other stuff too. And, I got a new car this weekend. Don't ask why. I did not need another car. Mine was wonderful, it had low miles, and I really loved it. A couple of months ago, David saw the '07 Camry. They redesigned it completely - inside & out. I test drove it a few weeks ago, but was definitely NOT planning on getting it any time soon. I loved it though. David took me to work Saturday because we had been out shopping. He told me that when he picked me up I would have a new car. I didn't believe him. When he picked me up, I asked him if I had a new car, he said no but he was working on it. Saturday evening we traded my '04 & picked up the '07. We were very blessed with the whole deal, and the salesman was great. The moral of the story - Never underestimate a man on a mission! Last night I filled in for the night cake decorator teacher. We have UAB/ERF testing this week, so we are busy busy busy!!

I know, I know...
It took me long enough, but here are lots of pictures from our trip to Gatlinburg. Last week was really hectic. I was so glad when Thursday was over!! Our presentation went well, and I finished my case history. The weekend was really good. Friday Valerie came over for a while & we worked on invitations. Then I was off Saturday, so we took Emmy to the Children's Hands on Museum in Tuscaloosa. She really enjoyed it. I was afraid that we weren't going to get to go because of damage from the storms. Thankfully, it wasn't as bad as everyone thought. I'll try to post picture of that sometime...now that they're all downloaded. After the museum Saturday we went to Dillard's for a while since there isn't one around here, and when we got back, we met my parents for dinner at Lonestar in Wildwood as an early birthday celebration. That night, Laura called & said she was really bored & wanted to come over, so she came over that night. We watched "Convicted" which I had wanted to see because they had something about a deaf girl on there who's dad was trying to force her to get cochlear implants. It was really interesting. It didn't come on Friday because of storm coverage. Sunday we got up and went to Sunday School/School of Ministry. That was really good, and so was the service. Around 3, Sharon came & picked Emmy up, and now David is doing some computer work. I am kinda sleepy. I tried to take a nap this afternoon. That didn't work too well.
Oh, and I don't know if I posted this already, but Friday March 31st, David took me to Cirque du Soleil - Delirium. It was AMAZING!! This was part of my birthday present from him. We had great seats on the lower level - close enough to see everything without limitations. There were floor seats too, which I was thankful we didn't have, because I don't think those people were able to see the stage. I think the front row of the balcony would have been ok, but our seats were really good. Ok, now I'm rambling...
