Is it over yet??

I swear, this has seemed like the longest month ever!! I'm glad March is almost over. Everyone at the school has started counting down the days left!! (By the way, it's 38 left for us, 37 left for kids.) Wow my birds are being noisy right now! Anyway, I'm all alone right now...David is at someone from church's house working on a computer. I should be using this opportunity to take a nap. I'm still tired from last week! Thursday night, the band was playing in town, so we hung out with them from 6 until the show started at 7:30, then afterwards too. We didn't get home until 1, & then we had to get up early for work. And I haven't been sleeping well lately, so we just haven't recovered. Yesterday was just the day of seemingly neverending church...we went to 8:30 service, then Sunday school, then ate lunch, then my dad had to go back & stay while we came home & took a nap until it was time to go to our other church. We were ready to get home! I don't know if I've talked about the "other church" situation yet or not...we have been helping start another church called ChristGarden Church. Trav & Becca (the pastor & his wife) are really awesome & we have become close with them. After that, we had to go get our animals! Someone else came & looked at the house yesterday, so we took the animals to my parents. They were definitely happy to be home! Well, I think that's all I've got for now...so I'll leave you with some pictures!

Back to Business

Well, I know it's been a while, but I have a good reason! We decided kind of last minutely to go out of town. This week has been spring break for us, so we left the 14th & went to Nashville. We wanted to go somewhere different, and we haven't been since before we got married. We got to do some fun things - we went to the zoo one day, the Parthenon, Centennial Park, Opry Mills...it was nice to get away!! I would have pictures but.......I forgot the camera!! I never forget to pack stuff, but since it was so last minute (we booked the hotel Thursday & left Friday), it just left my mind! We stayed in the upper part of Nashville, which is kind of like Pelham, in an extended stay place. We got some pictures via disposable cameras, which I know won't be as good as regular, but at least it's something! Ever since we got back Wednesday, it's been non-stop! David had to be at church for Easter practice, then Thursday was Seder meal (we called it Maundy Thursday where I grew up - it's symbolic of the Passover meal, really cool, we learned a lot), then Friday was the Good Friday program (I was bad & didn't go...), he's at church now for Easter Sunday practice, & then tomorrow they have sunrise service (not my idea of fun), followed by 8:30 service, Sunday school, and Easter program....which makes for about an 8 hour day at church. We are going to be exhausted!! Let see...other than church, not much has been going on. My grandmother was in an accident a couple of weeks ago, & they decided that the car was totalled yesterday...over $12,000 in damage - yikes! When we got back, my car had some pretty nasty hail damage, so we have to go get an estimate either Wednesday of Thursday. It was supposed to be Thursday, but David scheduled it & forgot that the band was going to be in town & we were going to go see them. Anyway, I think that's all for now! We have a wedding to go to tonight, so I guess I better go get ready!

Raining manna...

Or is it just crackers? I was in church yesterday, when all of a sudden, crackers start falling around me!! My dad was up in the sound booth throwing crackers at me. Meanie. Anyway, last week was a happy/sad week. I did get to see my aunt & uncle, but my cousins didn't get to come at the last minute. One is supposed to come in a few weeks when he moves - we'll see. I did get to see my cousin Rick's kids - he was here a couple of weeks ago, but his ex-wife gave him a lot of trouble so we weren't able to see him. She's super crazy. So, I thought I would post a couple of pictures! I've had to wear my glasses lately because my eyes still aren't better where my contacts has scratch them...hopefully I'll be cleared for contacts again tomorrow!

Shelby is actually the only one that is my cousins - Bailey was hers from a previous marriage. He has a mild version of autism.

They got super attached super quick to David & me.

Shelby was pretty much glued! She thought it was cool to see the buses with her name on them.

This was the first time in almost 2 years we had seen them. They live in Holland, where their new step-dad is based (he's in the navy). Shelby is way into learning anything, so after she was teaching me numbers in German, she wanted to learn how to say numbers in French & ASL.
