Winding down

I for one am glad the school year is winding down. Four days to go! Then, I can spend all my time with this little angel like I did today =)

Today we took a trip to the park! It was really hot, which she didn't like. We actually played under the canopied area. This was the first time we had played in this area of the park. She seemed to like it, especially the stairs.

Someone is too big. We learned at the park today that Madelyn can go up & down the stairs all by herself. Well, she still needs a little help going down, but she definitely has the up mastered. See below for other new things she's doing.

I do still like the swing, just not being in the heat like it requires.

So some other things she's doing:
*naming pictures in books/things in her environment

* eating with a fork & spoon

*putting together 2-3 words
*running like a crazy girl!

*giving hugs to people & animals alike

*answering yes & no questions

*pushing the buggy in the store

My girly is getting so big! I love her to bits. So since I get off Friday, we're making plans for the summer. So far we have some play dates lined up, trips to the pool, the park of course, & vacation. Well, vacation for me & her really...David has to go on a business trip in a couple of weeks, and they ok-ed us to go with him. So with a little help, I got a free plane ticket (work is paying for David's), hotel (very nice), & he will have a rental car to drive to work. We're about 30 minutes from DC & 45 from Baltimore, so we're going to make the most out of our evenings. I'm a little nervous about how Madelyn will make the trip on the plane since she's much more mobile than last time we flew, but hopefully it will be ok.
