Almost over

Well, it is actually (finally) almost over. I am feeling a little more relaxed now than when I wrote last week. I have 3 days of class left. I only have one more thing I have to turn in on Wednesday - more lesson plans. This time I sent them to her so maybe I won't do so badly on them! Well, our lives have returned to more of a normal state. David fixed his car on Friday (I am so blessed to have a husband that can do those kinds of things instead of having to pay someone else!). Froday night, we went to the Relay for Life at Oliver Park in Calera. For those who don't know, Relay for Life is a fundraiser to help find a cure for cancer. There were several teams that raised money and then walked around the track that night. We mainly went because my mom's group Justified was singing that night. It only rained for a little while that night. My mom bought luminaries for the luminaria service that night in memory of my Grandma and Grandpa who died from cancer on April 27, 1997. They turned all the lights out except for like one, and everyone had a moment of silence and walked around the track. It was very emotional for everyone. Even some of the cancer survivors came out and walked around the track. On the bleachers they had set some luminaries up to spell "HOPE." It was very nice. Well, this weekend was busy. We were supposed to go to a funeral Saturday, but didn't get the chance to because we had so much to do. I am looking forward to sleeping in on Friday!!

I did a couple of Relay for Life events before I had my kids. I always enjoyed the spirit of them! Such amazing strength of character! I'm glad you seem more relaxed! See you Sunday!
