A first

Well, I had to take my 1st competency today. We have to take these throughout grad school to prove that we know what we're doing (basically). Right now, I am not feeling very competent. Maybe it went ok. I wasn't the only one scared to death! Speaking of scared...we were in the computer lab at school on Tuesday, looking at an e-mail. It's a car ad, and this little guy pops out & scared you. Well, imagine 8 women screaming like little girls. We had people all over the building coming to check on us. Then we decided to try it on one of our professors. In her exact words, "I think I just wet myself. Don't do that, my heart not so good." I think we laughed for 30 minutes after.
