New Vacation Experiences

Well, as I said about a thousand times before, graduation was Saturday. It went very well & I am very glad it is over. Hopefully, the next 2 years will go by very quickly. Well, we arrived in New Orleans this morning between 10-11. It would've been sooner except we kinda got lost - and it was NOT our fault!! We had gotten directions off of Mapquest. We should have known better considering they said our house didn't exist up until a few months ago (we've lived there since Dec. 2003). Anyway, it said to turn left onto a certain road. When we got to the exit, we realized we had to turn right. So we went by the street name instead of making the left turn, and wound up in a quite scary place. I'm not sure where we were, but we do NOT want to go back!! Thankfully, David was driving because I was having anxiety attacks and sitting there going "oh my goodness" repeatedly until we managed to find the interstate again. New Orleans is a very confusing place! You can't make left turns! It's amazing we could get anywhere! We almost got run over by a street (trolly) car too. There is a street line that runs in front of our hotel, and in the midst of trying to get to our hotel (by turning left I might add) we met one of the cars. You have to look both ways, even in the grass. It's frightening. I would post pictures, but I don't have a card reader. We're at the hotel on the computer. We are sitting here about to fall asleep from exhaustion! Pray for safe travel. We've decided to leave my car in the parking garage here at the hotel and buy a transit pass to get around. Well, I guess that is all for now - try to update again later...

Those terrible directions and stressful rides to vacation destinations are always fun recaps when you remember your trips, though!
